About

Stewart Phillips
Walton on Thames, United Kingdom

Stewart Phillips paints in oils. His love of beautiful and striking design saw him go back to his roots in 2010, when he took up painting as a full-time artist after a long career as an interior designer. With interior spaces in mind, his work, predominantly oil on canvas, has developed into a unique style: original paintings with an often noticeable architectural slant, be it three-dimensional or in perspective. The work has been recognised as very distinctive and has been represented by various galleries in London and the South East, and shown at several exhibitions. Before painting, Stewart designed luxury cruise ships, hotels and palaces: public areas on Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas, projects for Crystal Cruises and Viking Line, Harrods, the QE2 and private residences for royal families in the Middle East. That eye for space, light and perspective is what you see in his paintings today.
